SCHOOLS & EXTERNAL SERVICE PROJECTS 

The Schools and External Service Projects have been developed in line with the needs of children and young people through consultation with Children and Young People, in addition to through statistics and desk-based research such as the NHS Long Term Plan and ‘Supporting the Attainment of Disadvantage Pupils…’.. The projects are delivered to children and young people in schools, residential care homes, housing communities, youth clubs and in local authority services. Whether it's delivery to a group of young people in a housing community project or an individual young person who has been referred to us from a local authority, we ensure each projectc is tailored to the needs of the child(ren).

GIRLTALK

YOUNG GIRLS INTERVENTION PROGRAMME

GIRLTALK is an intervention programme aimed at girls and young women who may be at risk of Sexual Exploitation, Domestic Violence, Gang Exploitation, Mental Health issues, Low Self Esteem, and Body Image issues. The project also targets girls and young women who have Emotional and Behavioural issues. 

 

The outcomes GIRLTALK aims to achieve in girls and young women include:

 

  • IMPROVED AWARENESS OF CHILD SEXUAL EXPLOITATION/SEXUAL EXPLOITATION

  • IMPROVED AWARENESS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

  • IMPROVED AWARENESS OF CONSENT 

  • ABILITY TO SAFETY PLAN IN THE AREAS OF EXPLOITATION AND MENTAL HEALTH

ONE2ONE/ONE2YOU

1-2-1 Mentoring and Group Mentoring Intervention Programme

ONE2ONE is a targeted intervention programme, which provides 1-2-1 mentoring between a mentor and mentee, addressing highlighted issues, which have been identified by the school/external organisation and a young person as impacting negatively on their wellbeing and development. 

 

ONE2YOU is a Group/Small Groups Mentoring programme, which addresses issues that may impact on the wellbeing and development of young people. The programme is also used as a tool to develop peer-2-peer motivation and support.

 

The outcomes ONE2ONE/ONE2YOU aims to achieve in young people include:

NEXT STEPZ

Career Guidance and Preparation

Programme

NEXT STEPZ is a Career Guidance and Preparation programme, which aims to support young people 16+ with support in thinking about and planning their next steps into Further Education, Employment, and/or Training. Each young person is supported to create their Personalised Plan in the form of vision boards and action plans, which they will navigate with throughout the duration of the programme. The programme will also involve visits to corporate organisations, and attendance at employability immersion days, to increase career prospects, social mobility, and widening participation.

 

The outcomes NEXT STEPZ aims to achieve in young people include:

myMINDCARE

Mental health wellbeing and early intervention Programme

myMINDCARE is a Mental Health Wellbeing Early Intervention programme, which aims to support children and young people at risk of mental health, wellbeing and/or emotional issues and challenges.

Sessions are delivered in group sessions covering self-care and wellbeing activities such as therapeutic art. Each young person who takes part in the myMINDCARE programme completes the Warwick Short Questionnaire every month to measure the impact the sessions are having on their wellbeing.

 

The Outcomes myMINDCARE aims to achieve in young people include:
